Call for Nominations for the National Board of Directors

CIM Chartered Managers Canada is an organization driven by volunteers and supported by dedicated staff members that handle the day-to-day operations.  As we approach the Annual General Meeting for 2018, the election of Corporate Directors to fill vacancies on the Institute Board of Directors will occur.  Corporate Directors are not paid by the Institute.

There will be four (4) positions available.  The term of these positions will be as follows: 

Nomination forms are to be submitted before September 20, 2018.  All nominees are required to provide an up to date résumé and the nomination form.  The candidate must be a member in-good-standing of CIM Chartered Managers Canada; and must have a minimum of two (2) years management or leadership experience (with a preference given to candidates who have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience with a committee or board which can be external to CIM).

National Accreditation of The King's University

Congratulations to The King’s University Bachelor of Commerce program, which was recently approved for accreditation on July 3, 2018, and effective Aug 1, 2018 – July 31, 2023.


 

2018/2019 Membership Renewals

Our 2018/2019 membership year begins on June 1, 2018. Renewal invoices will be sent out to members by email beginning April 2018. Please watch your email inbox for your renewal notice, and update your contact information on file if it has recently changed.

 


The Canadian Institute of Management announces international reciprocity with the UK Chartered Management Institute (CMI)

The Canadian Institute of Management (“CIM Chartered Managers Canada”) is pleased to announce that it has reached an exciting new milestone in international reciprocity.  Holders of the CIM Chartered Manager (C.Mgr.) designation can now obtain the CMI Chartered Manager (CMgr) designation through reciprocity.  Conversely, all CMI Chartered Managers can obtain the Canadian equivalent.  In order to obtain these designations, applicants simply need to provide evidence of chartered status and join the respective institute, adhering to its local professional requirements and continuing professional development commitments.

CIM Chartered Managers Canada Launches New Designation and Brand

The Canadian Institute of Management is now operating under the CIM Chartered Managers Canada brand. It is part of a rebrand for the federally chartered not-for-profit, founded in 1942. The rebrand comes with a fresh new look and website. It corresponds with the official unveiling of the new Chartered Manager (C.Mgr.) designation representing registered members in all 10 provinces and 3 territories across Canada.
