NCMA Professionally Accredited Programs at Georgian College at The International Language Academy of Canada (ILAC)
Through our Lake Simcoe Chapter, CIM | Chartered Managers Canada has partnered with Georgian College at The International Language Academy of Canada (ILAC) in downtown Toronto to ensure that they offer programs that align with our Chartered Management Program. Currently, students are able to complete the Diploma in Business program at Georgian College at ILAC to become one step closer to becoming eligible for our Certified in Management (C.I.M.) professional designation.
The International Language Academy of Canada was established in 1997 and has since grown to be one of the largest and most awarded English language schools in Canada with six campuses across Toronto and Vancouver that provide university and college pathway programs as well as testing centres for the International English Language Testing System to over 20,000 students a year from over 100 countries. Through a license agreement with Georgian College, students can enrol in a select few programs at ILAC Toronto. Diploma in Business
This two-year diploma program offered at Georgian College at ILAC is made for students who want to pursue a career in business, but aren’t sure if there is a particular area of business that they would like to specialize in. It is a foundational diploma program that imbue students with the basic knowledge and skills needed for a career in management. Graduates of this program can choose to either enter directly into the workforce or use their diploma as a pathway into a degree program at another institution. Graduates of this program will be able to demonstrate the ability to:
- Understand and apply principles of corporate sustainability, corporate social responsibility and business ethics.
- Use current technologies to support business initiatives.
- Apply research skills to support decision making in business.
- Support the planning, implementation and monitoring of projects.
- Work in compliance with relevant business laws and regulations.

- Use accounting and financial principles to support business operations.

- Develop strategies for personal and professional growth to enhance work performance.
