Through our Kitchener-Waterloo Chapter, CIM | Chartered Managers Canada has partnered with Conestoga College to ensure that they offer programs that align with our Chartered Management Program. By completing any of these programs at Conestoga College, you will become eligible for our Certified in Management (C.I.M.) or Chartered Manager (C.Mgr.) professional designations. Conestoga College Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours)
This four-year degree program with Honours will give students a comprehensive undergraduate education and a strong foundation in the principles of business management. This program will teach strategic management concepts in a range of business settings that include planning, organization, leadership and evaluation. Students will also learn how to apply these concepts to business areas such as finance, operations, marketing, human resources and more. Other topics include business ethics, sales, presentation skills, global supply chain management, taxation and applied research methodologies. The Honours Bachelor of Business Administration programs at Conestoga College also include three paid co-op work terms where students can earn money and gain valuable real-world experience to apply what they learn, and develop their management skills. Within the Bachelor of Commerce program, there are two specializations students can choose from that are NCMA accredited programs.
Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) – Accounting, Audit & Information Technology
In addition to the core management concepts taught in the Honours Bachelor of Business Administration program, this accounting focused specialization provides students with knowledge and experience in accounting and auditing with a focus on information technology applications. In this program, students will learn through theory-based lectures, integrated applied projects, and of course through the paid co-op work terms.
Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) – International Business Management
This Bachelor’s degree will provide you with all of the knowledge and experience you need to succeed in the global business environment. On top of the core management concepts taught in this program, you will also learn how to bring people, processes and technology together across international borders to improve performance domestically and worldwide. At the end of your second year, you will have the option to select a major in Human Resource Management, Supply Chain Management, Marketing Management, Sustainability Management, or remain in the general stream so you have the opportunity to focus on what you want to learn.
Conestoga College Advanced Diploma in Business Administration – Management
This three-year diploma program is focused on developing a student’s potential for leadership in a management role. The courses in this program will provide you with a top-level understanding of all major areas of business including finance, accounting, marketing and sales, human resource management, supply chain management and operations. Course material focuses on developing competitive skills and strategic analysis abilities to become a flexible management generalist.
Conestoga College Advanced Diploma in Business Administration – Management
This three-year advanced diploma program focuses on developing the knowledge and skills needed for a career in an intermediate-level accounting role, as well as the fundamental skills needed to advance to an accounting management position. The course material covers advanced financial accounting concepts, managerial skills, cost-accounting systems and controls, computerized accounting using state-of-the-art computer labs and accounting software, and income tax.
