Meet Our Team - Jennifer Tracy, C.I.M., C.Mgr.
Jennifer Tracy, C.I.M., C.Mgr. has been serving as the Manager of Communications & Administration since November 2010. As a member of the operations team and head office staff, Jennifer's role and responsibilities have grown and evolved with the association over the past twelve years. During this time, the office has moved from a paper-heavy environment to a modern digital one, embracing technology and social media and finding new tools and efficiencies. Despite changes in the formats, Jennifer's dedication to providing quality service and support to members, Chapters, and the Board has remained constant.

Jennifer is responsible for a wide range of tasks, including managing telephone and email enquiries from existing and prospective members, updating social media content and the website, overseeing the production of the newsletter and quarterly magazine, and providing support to the CEO, Board, and Committees. She also arranges travel and venues for national meetings and facilitates virtual AGMs that became necessary during the COVID pandemic. Despite finding change anxiety-inducing, Jennifer has learned to remain adaptable and open to new people, perspectives, and opportunities through her constantly evolving job.
Jennifer's higher education and early career began as an administrator in a law office. After moving overseas to England, she worked as an administrator for a team of sub-prime lenders at Portman Building Society (which later merged with Nationwide Building Society). After the UK property market took a downturn in 2008, Jennifer worked as an audit administration assistant at Grant Thornton UK LLP. Upon returning to Canada, she returned to legal administration before working as a real estate agent. In November 2010, she was hired by CIM | Chartered Managers Canada, where she continues to serve the association to this day.
When not working, Jennifer enjoys making embroidery, a self-taught hobby she picked up during the pandemic lockdowns, and has even sold some commissioned pieces. She aspires to one day call herself an embroidery artist. In her leisure time, Jennifer also enjoys taking care of her houseplants, playing board games, and reading crime and horror novels.
