In Memoriam: David P. Driscoll, C.I.M., P.Mgr., C.Mgr.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our friend and colleague, David Driscoll, of the CIM Maritime Chapter, at age 90. He passed peacefully on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Northwood Ivany Place in Bedford following a four year battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
David joined the CIM Maritime Chapter in 1975, and graduated from St. Mary's University in Halifax as one of the first graduating classes of CIM. Committed to life-long learning and community service, David went on to receive his C.I.M., P.Mgr. and C.Mgr. designations. David was elected to the National Board of Directors in 1976, serving as Vice-President from 1977 to 1982, National President from 1981-1983 and Past-President from 1983-1985. He received the status of Life Member for his professional excellence and leadership of the association.
David enjoyed a successful career as an Electrician which included positions as a Maintenance Supervisor for the Halifax District School Board (HDSB); Project Manager for MacCulloch Building Ventures; and lastly Manager of Premises at Nova Scotia Power Corporation.
David loved meeting new people, making connections and valued friendship. The National Board, CIM Maritime Chapter and staff are sad to say goodbye to another legacy member of our CIM family. We send our deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and colleagues.
