Call for Nominations - Board of Directors
Nominations are now closed for the 2022/2023 election of the Board of Directors
We are issuing a call for nominations in accordance with the CIM Board Nominations Procedures Bulletin (the “Procedure”) prior to the 2022 Annual General Meeting of the members pursuant to Section 132(2) of the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act to elect four (4) directors for the following term lengths:
- 3-year term (to AGM 2025)
- 3-year term (to AGM 2025)
- 3-year term (to AGM 2025)
- 2-year term (to AGM 2024)
Individuals who are interested in serving as a director on the CIM National Board are invited to submit their candidacy through the Nominations Portal by October 26, 2022, being thirty (30) days prior to the date of the meeting of members to be held on November 26, 2022.
- Nominations must be received by the Chair of the Nominations Committee thirty (30) days prior to the Annual General Meeting or Meeting of Members.
- All nominees are required to provide an up to fully complete the online application form on the online nomination portal.
- Must be a Professional Member (C.I.M. and/or C.Mgr.) in-good-standing of the association.
- Candidates will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement after being elected.
- Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
- Directors are required to make a significant commitment of both time and expertise and assume the legal responsibilities under the Canada Not-For-Profit Act and applicable Canadian laws.
- Directors should anticipate a commitment of approximately 5 hours per month depending on the committee(s) assigned, the time of year, volunteering on CIM-related activities, advocating for the association and profession, reading and preparing reports, and participation in Board conference calls and committee meetings.
Candidates will be invited to an optional candidate connection session via telephone or teleconference with the Nominations Committee up to the close of nominations. Candidate connection sessions will be scheduled up to and including November 6, 2022.
