• Chapter Annual General Meeting: Jan 25, 2024

• Spring Social - May 24, 2023

  • The CIM Northern Alberta & NWT Chapter held a "Wing Night" on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at On The Rocks in Edmonton.  This networking event featured an open mic discussion on "Retirement & Succession Planning".  The evening was also a chance to meet and reconnect and network with fellow members. 

• Spring Social - April 27, 2023

  • The CIM Northern Alberta & NWT Chapter held our "Spring Social" on Thursday, April 27, 2023, that featured an open mic discussion on "Best Leadership Practices".   Thank you to the staff at Boston Pizza, 11440 106 Street NW, Edmonton, AB  T5G 3E3.  This was the second of three monthly networking and professional development events the Chapter planned for this Spring.  

• Pizza Night - March 30, 2023

  • The CIM Northern Alberta & NWT Chapter held a "Pizza Night" on Thursday, March 30, 2023, that featured an open mic discussion on "Current Trends in Management & Leadership Practice".   Thank you to the staff at Happy Pizza, 18208 84 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5T 2B4.  This was the first of three monthly networking and professional development events the Chapter has planned this Spring.  

• Chapter 2022 Annual General Meeting

  • The CIM Northern Alberta and Northwest Territories Chapter held its 2022 Annual General Meeting via Zoom on Thursday, January 26, 2023.  Thank you to everyone who made time in their busy schedules to participate.  A special thank you to Dennis Sokul, C.I.M., P.Mgr., C.Mgr. for his commitment and service as our Treasurer over the past three years.  Thanks are also extended to our outgoing Events Director, Jean-Jacques Mitakaro, P.Mgr., C.Mgr.

• Networking & Professional Development Dinner - May 19, 2022

  • The CIM Northern Alberta & NWT Chapter held its first "post pandemic" networking and professional development dinner on Thursday, May 19, 2022, featuring Jean Jacques (JJ) Mitakaro, P.Mgr., C.Mgr., CIMNAB Events Director, who spoke about the new face of networking post pandemic and tips for effective networking in the "new normal".   Thank you to the manager and staff at Buffet Royale Carvery West, 17202 95 Ave NW, Edmonton, for the warm welcome and excellent service.

• Chapter 2021 Annual General Meeting 

  • The CIM Northern Alberta and Northwest Territories Chapter held its 2021 Annual General Meeting virtually on February 10, 2022.  Thank you to everyone who participated.  A warm welcome to Gayle St. Denis and Jean-Jacques (J.J.) Mitakaro who were elected to our Chapter Board. 

• Professional Development Event - Thursday, October 28, 2021

  • The CIM Northern Alberta & NWT Chapter held a Fall virtual professional development event, "Taking Advantage of Change in a Dynamic Environment". 

  • Presenter:  Grace Dube, CIM Northern Alberta & NWT Chapter Chair

  • Navigating the dynamic and emerging competitive challenges calls for new and fresh approaches.  This session explored how to take advantage of change.

Congratulations to all 2017-2018 Long Service Award Recipients!  Pins will be available for pick up at the 2019 Membership Appreciation and social evening on January 24, 2019.

Catalina Vasquez received an award from CIM Northern Alberta & NWT Chapter for achieving the highest GPA of her graduating class in June 2017.
